Aparshakti Khurana has steadily carved a niche for himself in Bollywood with diverse roles and unconventional choices. Since making his debut with Dangal (2016), the actor has completed nearly a decade in the industry marked by versatility, experimentation, and creative exploration.
Now, Aparshakti is reflecting on his journey so far. At the same time, he is also looking ahead, expressing his desire to star in sports and musical biopics — including one based on musical legend Lucky Ali.
Reflecting on His Evolution as an Actor
Despite his growing body of work, Aparshakti Khurana remains grounded. Rather than judging his own growth, he believes that audiences and peers are better placed to assess his evolution.
“Whether I’ve evolved as an actor or not is for others to decide — the audience, my colleagues, and the outside world,” he shared.
This humble perspective highlights his thoughtful and steady approach toward building a long-lasting career in the industry.
Reinvention and Creative Exploration
Over the years, reinvention has been central to Aparshakti’s journey. The actor believes that exploring different creative avenues keeps him motivated and fulfilled.
“Personally, I’m satisfied with my journey so far. Touchwood, I’ve done a variety of films and characters. That’s always been my approach — to explore different creative sides of myself,” he said.
Moreover, Aparshakti enjoys experimenting beyond acting. He also finds joy in music and hosting, which, according to him, provide a different kind of creative excitement and energy.
Being Selective Without Regrets
At the same time, Aparshakti has also been mindful while choosing his projects. He revealed that he carefully picks roles and has never regretted turning down opportunities.
“I somehow manage to make time for the things I truly want to do. Till now, I haven’t regretted saying no to any project that later became big,” he explained.
As a result, his thoughtful choices have helped him build a diverse and meaningful filmography over the years.
Not Chasing Big Names
Interestingly, Aparshakti Khurana also shared that he does not actively chase collaborations with big directors or production houses. Instead, he prefers to focus on good work.
“There’s always going to be a long wish list — big directors, big production houses, great roles. But that list never really ends. So I don’t dwell on it,” he said.
This practical mindset has allowed him to stay focused on creativity rather than industry pressures.
Interest in Sports and Musical Biopics
Looking ahead, Aparshakti Khurana expressed a strong interest in working on biopics, particularly in the sports and music genres. Both, he said, are close to his heart.
“If I had to choose, I would love to do a sports biopic or maybe a musician’s biopic. Both are very close to my heart and bring out the best in me,” he shared.
Additionally, the actor revealed his admiration for legendary marathon runner Fauja Singh, whose inspiring story deeply resonates with him.
“Someone like Fauja Singh really inspires me. He was running marathons even at the age of 100+. Stories like his truly move me,” he added.
Lucky Ali Biopic on Aparshakti’s Wishlist
Among musicians, Aparshakti Khurana specifically mentioned Lucky Ali as someone he would love to portray on screen.
“Maybe even a musician’s biopic, someone like Lucky Ali. Let’s see what happens in the future,” he said.
Given Aparshakti’s own musical background, the idea of him stepping into Lucky Ali’s shoes has already sparked curiosity among fans.
A Career Defined by Versatility
From Stree and Luka Chuppi to Jubilee and Berlin, Aparshakti Khurana has consistently showcased his range across genres. His ability to balance comedy, drama, and layered performances has made him a dependable performer in recent years.
Now, with his interest in sports and musical biopics, Aparshakti Khurana seems ready to take another unconventional turn. And if his journey so far is any indication, audiences can expect something fresh and exciting from him once again.
