Jonathan Majors Falls Through Window on Daily Wire Set

Jonathan Majors had a terrible accident on the set of an unnamed Daily Wire action movie in South Carolina. He and co-star JC Kilcoyne fell through an unsecured window. Hollywood Reporter reported on the event, which was caught on video, last week. The actors weren’t told about the stunt glass that was supposed to be used in a later scene, which caused them to fall six feet. This accident made safety concerns even worse, which led IATSE crew members to go on strike on March 26 because of unsafe working conditions and pay issues.

The fall happened during a scene where an off-screen character shot Majors and Kilcoyne, causing them to crash backward through the fragile glass. Video shows the unsecured tempered glass breaking with them as crew members rushed to help in the face of growing panic. Kilcoyne needed stitches, but he is getting better. His team says that he got good care on set and had a good time, even though things were crazy.

Safety problems had been building for five weeks, starting with contract disputes and ending with this stunt going wrong, which led to the union workers’ walkout. The Daily Wire’s Dallas Son and Bonfire Legend production is now facing backlash, and filming has stopped because strikes are demanding better protections and pension contributions. Majors’ representatives haven’t said anything, but this incident shows that Hollywood sets are still dangerous after high-profile accidents.
