The actor describes the film as a rare cinematic experience that breaks away from conventional storytelling. “Dhurandhar has become a rage because it breaks away from traditional storytelling and delivers a gripping narrative,” he says. Furthermore, he credits director Aditya Dhar for bringing the vision to life. “Aditya Dhar has made this film with immense conviction. Its bold treatment and immersive storytelling make it truly unique,” he adds.

“Powerful performances, apt casting, striking looks, and detailed costumes enhance the narrative. Meanwhile, the music adds intensity to the storytelling. The scale feels grand yet controlled, and most importantly, it never overshadows the emotional core,” he explains.
A Brief but Impactful Role
Despite limited screen time, Vinod expresses gratitude for being part of what he calls a “mega blockbuster.” He played Azam Cheema, a character linked to the 26/11 attacks, who collaborates with Major Iqbal, portrayed by Arjun Rampal, in the climax.
“Even though my role was brief, I feel blessed to be part of such a powerful film. I’m truly happy for the entire cast and crew,” he shares.

Meanwhile, speaking about his career aspirations, Vinod reveals that he is always drawn to layered characters. Although he is often cast in antagonist roles, he believes he has much more to offer.
“Coming from a theatre background, I enjoy exploring complex characters. I’m always looking for roles where I can showcase my range and portray emotions with honesty,” he says.

“As a writer, what struck me most was the courage to break structure while staying engaging. The film challenges the audience while keeping them emotionally invested. That kind of storytelling conviction is rare,” he adds.
