On March 31, 2026, Eugene Mirman, who is best known for voicing Gene Belcher on Bob’s Burgers, was in a serious car accident at a toll plaza in New Hampshire. His 2026 Lucid Gravity car crashed into the Bedford Toll Plaza, caught fire, and trapped him inside until a brave rescue team arrived.
The accident happened just before noon on the F.E. Everett Turnpike. It caused a huge fire that made people call 911 right away to report a driver who was trapped. The 51-year-old man from Massachusetts was named Yevgeny Mirman by the New Hampshire State Police. He was taken to a local hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
A veteran state trooper from Governor Kelly Ayotte’s security detail was the first to arrive. He pulled Mirman out of the burning wreckage with the help of bystanders before first responders took over. Videos showed the badly damaged SUV on fire, which showed how quickly help arrived and saved his life.
Mirman’s spokesperson told the press, “Eugene was in a very scary car accident.” He wants to thank the people who helped him, including the bystanders, state police, first responders, and hospital staff. He is thankful that he is getting better. The comedian, who is also known for Flight of the Conchords and Archer, is now asking for privacy while he recovers.
