1. Mission & Editorial Independence
Awesome TV exists to inform, entertain, and connect South Asian audiences with the entertainment that shapes their culture. Our editorial decisions are made independently by our newsroom. Advertisers, sponsors, business partners, and parent-company stakeholders do not influence the selection, framing, or content of our news coverage. Any sponsored or branded content is clearly labeled as such and is produced separately from our newsroom.
2. Accuracy & Verification
Accuracy is the foundation of our reporting. Before publishing, our editors verify factual claims using at least two independent sources where possible, or by direct contact with the subject, their representatives, or primary documentation. We do not knowingly publish information we cannot verify, and we clearly attribute claims that are still developing or reported by another outlet.
3. Sourcing
We prefer on-the-record sources and attributed quotes. We use anonymous sources only when the information is of clear public interest, when no other reasonable means of obtaining it exists, and when the source has been vetted by a senior editor. We do not publish rumors as fact, and we clearly distinguish between confirmed news, reports from other outlets, and speculation.
4. Fairness & Right of Reply
When our reporting includes allegations or critical claims about an individual or organization, we make reasonable attempts to contact the subject for comment before publication. If a subject responds after publication, we update the story to include their statement.
5. Bylines, Authorship & Expertise
Every news story carries a byline identifying its author. Author pages include the writer’s background, areas of expertise, and verified social or professional profiles where available. Guest contributions and op-eds are clearly labeled and reflect the views of the contributor, not Awesome TV.
6. AI-Assisted Content
Awesome TV may use generative AI tools to assist with research, transcription, headline ideation, summarization, and image generation. All AI-assisted content is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by a human journalist before publication. We do not publish fully AI-generated articles without human editorial review and attribution.
7. Updates, Corrections & Transparency
Every published article displays a publication date. When a story is updated with material new information, we display an updated date and note the nature of the update where relevant. Factual errors are addressed in accordance with our Corrections Policy.
8. Ethics & Conflict of Interest
