Anshuman Jha to Direct Lakadbaggha 2 – The Monkey Business.

Anshuman Jha helms the sequel to his 2023 cult vigilante blockbuster, offering a larger, international adventure. Anshuman Jha is eager to showcase his vision in this project.

Jha Steps In as Director

Anshuman Jha is now on board as the director of Lakadbaggha 2 – The Monkey Business. Adman-filmmaker Sanjay Shetty was originally to be at the helm. But after three days of filming, Jha stepped in — in a seamless, joint transition.

A Creative Call, Not Ego

A source familiar with the film claimed, “Anshuman told the team, ‘We will only make this film once — let’s make it the best it can be.’ The decision was not ego-driven but one of vision and clarity. Anshuman Jha’s commitment is evident in his approach.

Hands-On from Day One

Second AD Aura Chandel disclosed Jha’s extensive involvement. He guided the casting, VFX, score, and tone of the narrative. Martial arts superstars Sunny Pang and Dan Chupong are included in the cast, which provides international appeal. Chandel further added, “There’s no bad blood. Just shared passion and focus.”

A Legacy for the Voiceless

Industry people comment that Jha was the obvious choice, considering his attachment to the animal vigilante world. Anshuman Jha ensures that Sanjay Shetty continues as a creative consultant. As one member of the team described, “He’s building a legacy for the voiceless.”

Becoming a Part of the League of Actor-Directors

With Lakadbaggha 2, Jha becomes part of the league of actor-directors such as Clint Eastwood, Bradley Cooper, and Dev Patel. The movie combines action with a strong message about animal welfare.
