AQUAMAN – “….He is the bridge between land and sea…”. Get ready for CGI effects going ballistic in DC Comics presentation of “AQUAMAN”. Jason Momoa is rugged and has that is grunge motorbike look that is unusual, but at the same time his refreshing appearance to play the the Superhero that is half human, and half as a creature from the sea is spot on,
The film deals with the age old theme of “The Man Who Would Be King”, but this good samaritan does not want the throne or the headaches that come with hit. He belongs to the sunken advanced city of Atlantis, that has sunken for centuries under the Atlantic. He laments for his mother who was taken back to the city to be in exile.
Nicole Kidman as the mother and the Queen of Atlantis, is just beautiful, yet has a small part to the story. There is some great zany action especially in Sicily, Italy, that is a must watch for the unique chase and action sequences.
As for Jason Mamoa, once again he owns the machismo for the role as this DC hero. The film is fun and gets a 3 and half stars trident of a recommendation. Courtesy Awesome TV & BEING FILMY.
