In the NFC Wild Card playoff game at Soldier Field, Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams led a historic fourth-quarter comeback, overcoming an 18-point halftime deficit to beat the Green Bay Packers 31-27. The Bears will now play either the Los Angeles Rams or the Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round.

The Packers took control early, with Jordan Love throwing three touchdown passes in the first half to give them a 21-3 lead. They took advantage of Chicago’s failed fourth-down attempts. Williams had a hard time at first, but in the fourth quarter he really took off, throwing for 184 yards, scoring two touchdowns, and making a two-point conversion. D’Andre Swift’s 5-yard touchdown run made the score 21-16, Olamide Zaccheaus’s 8-yard touchdown made the score 21-16, and D.J. Moore’s 25-yard touchdown pass with 1:43 left in the game won it.
After halftime, Green Bay’s offense stopped working because Brandon McManus missed field goals, including a key 44-yarder late in the game, and they got penalties like a false start that ended their last drive. Williams threw a 27-yard pass to Rome Odunze, which gave the Bears the momentum they needed to win the game. Later, Williams threw a pass to Moore for the game-winning score, making it the biggest playoff comeback in Chicago Bears history.
