Prime Video has released the first look at Blade Runner 2099. The streaming platform unveiled the trailer at New York Comic Con on October 10, 2026. Moreover, the upcoming series brings a fresh chapter to the popular sci-fi franchise.

Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh and Euphoria star Hunter Schafer lead the eight-episode series. Set 50 years after Blade Runner 2049, the story takes place in a transformed Los Angeles.

The story follows two unlikely partners with very different backgrounds.

Michelle Yeoh plays Olwen, a replicant Blade Runner nearing the end of her programmed lifespan. As time runs out, she searches for a way to survive.

Meanwhile, Hunter Schafer plays Cora, a human fugitive hiding from her past. To protect herself, she takes on the dangerous identity of a Blade Runner.

Soon, their paths cross during a mysterious investigation. Together, they uncover secrets that could threaten the city’s future.

Additionally, Blade Runner 2049 co-writer Michael Green joins the production as an executive producer.
