BOOK CLUB – You must admire the style and grace these 4 ladies have when they unite together in a film called “BOOK CLUB”. The cast which consists of Jane Fonda, Diane Keaton, Candice Bergen & Mary Steenburgen do their best to share the screen and exchange thoughts during their monthly “Book club” meet ups – on where their road should go as they are in their golden years.
“Does life stop there, after you become a widow?, or being divorced? Or rather being single into your older years? Can sex be allowed? Can ladies get their Mojo on in their 60’s? – Are some of the questions raised in this film.
The subject sad to say has been very weekly handled, and the screenplay is so dry and trite. The film is predictable and leaves you disappointed. It feels like a made for television special on “Lifetime”. The film gets a 1 star recommendation. Courtesy Awesome TV & BEING FILMY.
