Casey Wasserman, a Hollywood mogul and the head of the LA 2028 Olympics, is under scrutiny because new documents about Jeffrey Epstein show how close he was to Ghislaine Maxwell. The U.S. Department of Justice released the files on January 30, 2026. They show emails from more than 20 years ago that were flirtatious.
New Jeffrey Epstein documents, released in response to congressional calls for more openness about the late sex trafficker, include emails between Wasserman and Maxwell from 2003. Wasserman, who was married at the time, wrote things like “Where are you? I miss you” and asked for a massage. Maxwell offered one that could “drive a man wild.” These conversations came to light during ongoing investigations into Epstein’s network.
In 2002, Wasserman went to Africa on Epstein’s jet with Maxwell, Bill Clinton, Chris Tucker, and Kevin Spacey as part of a Clinton Foundation AIDS research trip. His flight logs show that he was there, but he says he has no personal or business ties to Epstein. The Secret Service hired a doctor to work on the ship, and the files contain information about FBI interviews.
Wasserman told the media that she was very sorry for talking to Maxwell, and she stressed that it happened before her crimes were made public. He said again that he had no relationship with Epstein and apologized for any connection through the humanitarian flight. As the head of the LA Olympics, this makes him more of a target for Epstein’s investigation.
