Coca-Cola has named Henrique Braun, a long-time executive, as its new CEO. He will take over on March 31, 2026, from James Quincey, who will become executive chairman. Braun has been the company’s Chief Operating Officer since January 2025. He is in charge of all of the company’s global operations, including those in North America and Europe. The announcement shows Coca-Cola’s plan to keep things going even though people are asking for healthier drinks.
Henrique Braun, 57, started working for Coca-Cola in 1996 and worked his way up through important jobs in bottling, marketing, innovation, and the supply chain in North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. He was excited about working with bottlers to find new ways to grow in a fast-changing global market. As part of the transition, Braun will also join the board of directors.
James Quincey, who is 60 years old, has been in charge of Coca-Cola since 2017. He has dealt with the COVID-19 pandemic, changed the way the company franchises its bottling operations, and added drinks with no sugar, milk, sparkling water, coffee, and energy drinks. During his time in charge, the company’s stock price went up by almost 63%, and it also changed to meet demand for cheap, low-calorie options. This insider succession makes sure that the beverage giant stays the same.
