David Harbour Joins Noah Centineo in John Rambo Prequel

David Harbour is officially on board the action-packed John Rambo prequel. He will play Major Sam Trautman, who is opposite Noah Centineo’s young John Rambo. Directed by Jalmari Helander (Sisu), this action thriller from Lionsgate and Millennium Media looks at Rambo’s life before First Blood in Vietnam.

Harbour takes on the role of Rambo’s commanding officer, which was played by the late Richard Crenna. He keeps the soldier in line during brutal jungle warfare. Yao, Jason Tobin, Quincy Isaiah, Jefferson White, and Tayme Thapthimthong are also in the movie, which was filmed in Thailand earlier this year. In this sixth Rambo movie, Centineo, who just starred in The Recruit, becomes the famous one-man army.

Helander is in charge of the movie, which is based on a script by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani (Black Adam). Kevin King Templeton, Les Weldon, and the Russo brothers’ AGBO team are among the producers. Anthony and Joe Russo are the executive producers, along with Sylvester Stallone. Harbour, who is on a high from HBO’s DTF St. Louis, adds star power to Violent Night 2 and Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday.
