Florence Pugh has never shied away from speaking about Palestine. In a new interview with Vanity Fair, the Oscar-nominated actress reflected on her decision to publicly address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

“I don’t know why it took so long for people to start talking and for people to actually feel sympathy,” Pugh said.

Last year, Pugh also showed her support by attending the Together for Palestine fundraising event at London’s OVO Arena Wembley.
Despite having scheduling commitments connected to Avengers: Doomsday, the actress managed to attend the event. The fundraiser subsequently raised more than $2 million for humanitarian relief efforts.
Moreover, Pugh stressed that the crisis remains ongoing. She pointed to the continued suffering of civilians, including children and mothers, while people in other parts of the world continue with their daily lives.
