Giants Hire Matt Nagy as Offensive Coordinator 2026
Matt Nagy

Matt Nagy is the new offensive coordinator for the New York Giants. He was previously with the Kansas City Chiefs and is now part of the coaching staff for the Baltimore Ravens.

The New York Giants have hired Matt Nagy to be their new offensive coordinator under head coach John Harbaugh. This is a big step toward fixing their offense, which has been having trouble. This comes after letting go of other candidates, such as Todd Monken, who became the head coach of the Cleveland Browns. On February 3, 2026, NFL Network insiders Ian Rapoport, Mike Garafolo, and Tom Pelissero confirmed the news.

Nagy has a lot of experience, having worked for Andy Reid for 14 seasons. His most recent job was as the Kansas City Chiefs’ offensive coordinator from 2023 to 2025. He was the head coach of the Chicago Bears from 2018 to 2021 and helped make the Chiefs’ offenses more exciting before the playoffs. Nagy is a great play-caller, so he can help rookie star Jaxson Dart in his second year.

Giants fans are talking a lot on social media, and some of them are cautiously hopeful that the offense will get better. This hire fits with how Harbaugh has been building his staff since his time in Philadelphia with Reid. Nagy will probably focus on getting better at scoring because the Giants’ offense has been struggling lately.
