Elba’s Love for Knuckles
Idris Elba recently shared his enthusiasm about reprising his role as Knuckles in the upcoming film. “It feels great to be back in the old Knuckles fists,” he said. “He’s a great character, and I love playing him.” Elba also acknowledged that other actors may take on the role in the future, but for now, it’s his job and he’s thrilled about it.
Deeper Connection to Knuckles
Elba’s connection to Knuckles has deepened with the Sonic franchise. “Having the Knuckles series on Paramount+ and working on the previous movie, I’m more embedded in Knuckles’ mythology,” he explained. The actor also joked about his earlier struggles with pronouncing “Echidna,” adding, “Now it just rolls off the tongue. I’m under the skin of Knuckles, so to speak.”
The Team Faces a New Villain
In Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Knuckles joins Sonic and Tails to face their biggest challenge yet: Shadow. This mysterious new villain has powers unlike anything Team Sonic has seen. To stop Shadow and save the planet, the trio will need to form an unexpected alliance.
