“Rakul is my superstar,” he said.

Furthermore, Bhagnani believes the film could introduce another side of Rakul to Hindi audiences. She has already enjoyed success in the South, and he feels Ramayana could give her an even bigger platform.

“Surpanakha can be a tricky character, but she has played it with elegance,” he added.
