Jessi, a veteran K-pop star, talks about her new mini-album P.M.S. (Pretty Mood Swings), which is her first EP in almost five years since NUNA in 2020. The project, which came out on her own label UNNI COMPANY, shows her unapologetic emotional swings and mixes hip-hop, pop, and R&B with messages of self-love and empowerment.
Jessi opens up about her bold EP 'P.M.S. (Pretty Mood Swings)' – vulnerability, self-love, and hits like 'Girls Like Me' under UNNI COMPANY. K-pop comeback 2025 essentials.
The five-song EP has the title song “Girls Like Me,” as well as “Brand New Boots,” “HELL,” “Marry Me,” and the single “Newsflash,” which came out before the album. Jessi wrote and composed all of the songs, adding her own creative touch by perfecting ad-libs and editing music videos for the best effect. Fans love its mature sound and openness, which marks a new, confident chapter after P Nation and MORE VISION switched labels.
Jessi talks about feeling vulnerable but strong after a tough year, and she talks about how important it is to be confident in her skin as K-pop changes. Her New York roots and “UNNI” persona come through in the rhythmic melodies that make you want to dance. The album’s fun title takes back mood swings as “pretty,” and the honest lyrics and swagger make it relatable to listeners.
