Jubin Nautiyal Was Always the First Choice
Director Mohit Suri shares why he always had Jubin in mind for the album.
There are always singers who characterize an era of romance. Jubin is one such one,” he says. “I knew Saiyaara required his voice. When I heard Barbaad, he was the best.”
“Jubin’s Voice Feels Like Love”
Suri lauds Jubin’s emotional depth.
He has a special texture that makes romantic songs strike harder,” the director says. “Very few singers are able to get people to feel a song. Jubin does. That’s a gift.”
Barbaad Is for Everyone Who’s Loved Deeply
Suri thinks Barbaad will be nostalgic.
“Romantic songs transport us back to feelings we thought we’d lost. Barbaad is about love that burns, devours, and leaves you wanting more.”
Saiyaara: A Love Story with Poetic Meaning
The title Saiyaara is a wandering star—lovely, far away, and otherworldly. It’s an apt title for a love story that’s vibrant but elusive. The chemistry between the lead pair and the emotional depth of the film have been much appreciated by the fans since the teaser was unveiled.
Introducing Fresh Faces
Saiyaara is the big-screen entry of Ahaan Panday. The film also features Aneet Padda, whose performance in Big Girls Don’t Cry won everyone’s heart. Produced by YRF’s CEO Akshaye Widhani, it will release on July 18, 2025.
A Legacy of Romance Continues
YRF, having completed 50 years of cinema, is famous for iconic love sagas by Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra. Mohit Suri, in his 20th year, gets back to romance after successes like Aashiqui 2, Malang, and Ek Villain.
