Judith Light Stars in The Terror and The Punisher

Veteran actor Judith Light is stepping into two very different but equally intense projects this season, and she says both continue to challenge her as a performer. In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Emmy and Tony winner discussed her work in AMC+’s The Terror: Devil in Silver and Marvel’s The Punisher: One Last Kill.

In The Terror: Devil in Silver, Light plays a mysterious resident inside a psychiatric institution, adding to a cast led by Dan Stevens in the horror anthology’s latest chapter. The series is based on Victor LaValle’s novel and follows a man wrongfully committed to New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital, where he faces disturbing secrets and a possible supernatural evil.

Light has also drawn attention for her appearance in The Punisher: One Last Kill, where she is widely rumored to be playing Marvel villain Ma Gnucci, although she has avoided confirming the role directly. In interviews, she has described the project as being about transformation, revenge and the emotional cost of holding onto anger.

The actor also noted that she enjoyed working with friends on The Terror and praised the creative energy behind both productions. Beyond screen roles, the interview also reflects Light’s long-running appeal as a performer who continues to move between prestige television, genre storytelling and theater.
