Directed by Dibakar Banerjee, the film became known for its realistic humour and middle-class family setting.
The story followed Kamal Kishore Khosla, an ordinary man who dreamed of building a home for his family.
However, his plans were disrupted when a powerful property dealer took control of his land.
As a result, the family had to find a way to reclaim the property.
The film combined comedy with social commentary about India’s property market.
Moreover, it explored family relationships, financial struggles and everyday challenges.
Its simple storytelling helped audiences connect with the characters.
Why the Film Became a Cult Favourite
Khosla Ka Ghosla! stood apart from many conventional Bollywood comedies.
Instead of relying on exaggerated situations, it found humour in ordinary family problems.

Meanwhile, Boman Irani’s portrayal of the property dealer added tension and humour.
The supporting cast also played an important role.
Additionally, the film’s natural dialogue and realistic setting made the story memorable.
Over time, it developed a loyal following and earned recognition as a cult comedy.

The returning cast members will bring familiarity to the story.
Meanwhile, the new performers could introduce different relationships and challenges.

Therefore, preserving that authenticity could be important for the sequel.
