Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Faces New Sexual Assault Claims

Los Angeles prosecutors are taking a hard look at fresh sexual assault allegations against music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, marking another chapter in the mounting legal troubles facing the hip-hop icon.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office is currently examining whether criminal charges are warranted following a referral from local law enforcement. The move signals that prosecutors are seriously considering whether the new claims cross the threshold for prosecution.

The allegations come from Jonathan Hay, a music producer and publicist, who says Combs sexually assaulted him multiple times in 2020 and 2021 while the two were collaborating on a remix project tied to The Notorious B.I.G.’s estate.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department opened an investigation into Hay’s complaint earlier this year. Prosecutors are now sifting through the evidence to determine whether a criminal case can move forward.

Combs has flatly denied all allegations leveled against him, insisting that civil lawsuits are baseless attempts to extort money and damage his reputation. His legal team has repeatedly pushed back against the accusations.

The case represents just one of dozens of legal battles engulfing the Bad Boy Records founder. Over the past two years, Combs has been sued numerous times over allegations of sexual misconduct, trafficking, and abuse—all of which he denies.
