Lili Reinhart, “Riverdale” star, shares her endometriosis diagnosis. Doctors confirmed it post-laparoscopic surgery for years of severe pelvic pain and bladder issues. The 29-year-old actress faced interstitial cystitis misdiagnosis despite hospital visits and specialist consultations.​

Initial specialists dismissed endometriosis. She managed pain alone until two pelvic floor therapists suggested it and urged more tests.​

Reinhart demanded an MRI. It revealed adenomyosis, where uterine-like tissue invades the uterine wall. An endometriosis expert recommended surgery despite another doctor’s birth control advice.​

Surgery verified endometriosis—a painful chronic condition with uterine-like tissue growing outside the uterus, risking organs and fertility. She calls it an “extremely misunderstood disease” with years-long diagnostic delays.​
