Maika Monroe is heading to Cannes with a chilling new psychological horror film. Victorian Psycho, directed by Zachary Wigon, will make its world premiere at the prestigious film festival, with the first trailer now available for viewers.
The film casts Monroe
as Winifred Notty, a young governess who arrives at the mysterious Ensor House in 1858 and finds herself caught in a sinister mystery. Wigon adapted the project from Virginia Feito’s novel, with Feito penning the screenplay as well.
Bleecker Street plans to bring Victorian Psycho to theaters on September 25, 2026, following its Cannes debut. The cast rounds out with Thomasin McKenzie and Jason Isaacs, bolstering the period horror film’s profile ahead of its release.
