Minnie Driver Reveals She Survived Serious Car Crash in France, Suffers Sprained Neck

Academy Award-nominated actress Minnie Driver is recovering after a harrowing car accident in France left her with a sprained neck and emotional shaken. The ‘Good Will Hunting’ and ‘Emily in Paris’ star opened up about the frightening collision in an emotional Instagram video, telling fans she feels “so grateful to be alive.”

The crash occurred a few days ago while Driver was traveling on a country road in France with her friend Ben. Another vehicle failed to stop at an intersection, slamming into them at high speed in what Driver described as a T-bone collision.

Recounting the terrifying moment, Driver explained that despite the severity of the impact, both she and Ben managed to escape. “We somehow got out of it alive,” she said, noting they had to crawl rather than walk away from the damaged vehicle.

The 56-year-old actress made clear the accident wasn’t their fault, blaming the other driver for not stopping at the intersection before entering the road.

Driver confirmed she sustained a sprained neck and is currently recuperating in London while wearing a neck brace. While her physical injuries are expected to heal, the emotional toll has been harder to manage. She revealed she remains in shock, with the crash replaying in her mind a natural but painful part of processing the trauma.

Driver credited the electric vehicle’s safety features, particularly its airbag system and structural design, with keeping her and Ben alive through such a violent impact.

She also thanked a stranger who stopped to help before emergency responders arrived, as well as her family, friends, and colleagues for their support throughout her recovery.
