A Love Story with a Darker Side
Mrunal Thakur is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Dacoit, which also stars Adivi Sesh. As the film prepares to hit theatres next week, the makers recently unveiled a gripping trailer. The preview offers a glimpse into a story packed with love, revenge, and high-octane action.
During the trailer launch event, Mrunal opened up about what drew her to the project. According to the actress, Dacoit presents a layered love story that goes beyond conventional romance.
“This love story is made for me. I have done simple love stories with love and dating. However, here you will see another side — Saraswati’s side — where there is not just love,” she shared.
Furthermore, she explained that the film explores complex emotions such as anger, revenge, heartbreak, and courage. As a result, the narrative not only highlights Saraswati’s emotional journey but also delves deeper into Hari’s character.
Action Meets Emotion
In addition to the emotional depth, the film’s action-packed narrative also excited Mrunal. The actress revealed that she was eager to step into a more physically demanding role and break away from monotony.
“It’s a different kind of love story. I didn’t want to be monotonous because audiences eventually get bored. Moreover, adding action makes it more exciting. When someone who has never done action gets to drive an ambulance, pick up a gun, and fight — why not?” she said.
Consequently, the film promises thrilling chase sequences, revenge-driven moments, and unexpected betrayals. This unique blend of romance and action makes Dacoit stand out as a refreshing cinematic experience.
Star-Studded Cast and Direction
Directed by Shaneil Deo, Dacoit also features powerful performances from Anurag Kashyap and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles. With such a strong ensemble, expectations from the film are already high.
Release Date and Bilingual Appeal
Interestingly, the film has been shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, thereby aiming to reach a wider audience. Dacoit is set for a worldwide theatrical release on April 10, further building excitement among fans eager to see Mrunal in a bold new avatar.
