Taking the Reins from the Front—Even in Her Third Trimester
Producer Nidhi Dutta is testing the limits of how much passion can drive one. Not even in her third trimester, Nidhi Dutta is right in the thick of producing Border 2, the long-since-anticipated sequel to her father JP Dutta’s iconic 1997 war movie.
Being on Set and Being in Charge
Now in its third schedule of shoot in Pune, Border 2 is produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar. Nidhi Dutta has been busy attending important meetings and driving the day-to-day operations of the film, not willing to let pregnancy get in her way.
“Two Heartbeats Driving One Dream”
Commenting on her experience, Nidhi Dutta said that passion remains key.
“This film is a dream I’ve seen with my father. There’s no greater joy than seeing it come alive—even if that means juggling shoot schedules with baby kicks! My team has been incredibly supportive. With two heartbeats driving this project, the journey feels even more special. I’m due anytime soon—looks like I’ll be going into delivery straight from the set!”
A Tribute to Legacy and Resilience
With Border 2 shaping up to be a major release in 2026, Nidhi’s commitment is inspiring. Her presence on set symbolizes not only her dedication to the film’s legacy but also the strength of women in cinema who balance career and motherhood with grace.
