At the prestigious WAVES 2025 summit in Mumbai, actor Nikita Dutta surprised fans with a personal revelation. While speaking about her career journey, she shared that she once aimed to crack the UPSC exams and join the civil services.
A Disciplined Start
“I come from an Army family—everyone around me has served in some capacity,” said Dutta. “Growing up in that disciplined environment, I was naturally drawn to structured paths. At one point, I seriously considered appearing for the UPSC exams.”
From Structure to Creativity
She admitted that choosing acting was a major shift. “We lived by routines, rules, and responsibilities. The creative industry is the exact opposite—unpredictable and chaotic. But that early grounding has helped me stay focused and resilient.”
Rising Star in Cinema
Today, Nikita is riding high on praise for her role in Jewel Thief. Her portrayal of Farah has earned critical acclaim, with many calling it her best performance yet.
A Journey of Transformation
From a would-be civil servant to a rising film star, Nikita Dutta’s journey is both inspiring and unconventional. Her story proves that it’s never too late to change paths and chase new dreams.
