The Minnesota Timberwolves shocked the Denver Nuggets by winning Game 2 of their first-round series in the 2026 NBA Playoffs at Ball Arena by a score of 119-114. The series is now tied at 1-1. Minnesota took the lead for good in the last four minutes after 15 lead changes, taking away home-court advantage. Game 3 of the series will be on Thursday at Target Center.
Nikola Jokic, a Serbian star, had a double-double with 24 points, 15 rebounds, eight assists, and one block. However, Denver’s efficiency dropped against Minnesota’s tough frontcourt. Lithuanian veteran Jonas Valanciunas only played a few minutes off the bench and got two rebounds.
nthony Edwards scored 30 points, tying Jamal Murray’s game-high total and leading Minnesota’s comeback, even though his right knee hurt. Donte DiVincenzo scored 16 points, seven of which came at the end of the game. Rudy Gobert added two points, seven rebounds, and two steals. Jamal Murray scored 30 points, including a half-court buzzer-beater at halftime, but it wasn’t enough for Denver.
