PA Union Scores First Win on Netflix’s Four Seasons

Production assistants in New York City who work on Netflix’s “The Four Seasons” have reached a big goal by voting to join Production Assistants United. There were 34 eligible voters, and 19 of them voted to join LiUNA Local 724. Only one person voted against it. The results were counted on Thursday, after the deadline on Monday. This is the first union win for PAs in New York, following recent wins like those on “The Pitt.”

The PAs want better pay, health insurance, mileage and toll reimbursements, and standard protections for their industry. Jenny Rich, a PA on the show, talked about how they were fighting for “a living wage for the actual hours we work and protections that a union offers.” She said this was a step toward valuing the crew’s health. This grassroots movement, which began in 2023 during strikes in the industry, is in line with the larger trend of unionizing production assistants under Production Assistants United.

Tina Fey created the Universal Television show “The Four Seasons,” which stars Steve Carell, Will Forte, and Colman Domingo. It is about friends whose vacations are ruined by a divorce. Universal hasn’t said anything yet, but showrunners have supported similar PA efforts on other projects in the past.
