Phil Collins Opens Door to Live Performances as Health Improves

Phil Collins has ruled out a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame performance, but the legendary drummer and singer suggested he could reconsider live shows if his health continues on an upward trajectory.

The comments mark a shift in tone from Collins, who has battled serious health complications over the past several years that sidelined him from touring. While he remains cautious about a full-scale return to the stage, he indicated he’s in a better place than he has been in some time.

“I could contemplate it,” Collins said of performing live again, though he made clear that the Hall of Fame induction would not be the venue for any comeback.

Collins has been candid about his medical struggles, including mobility issues and other health setbacks that have required round-the-clock care. The former Genesis frontman hasn’t performed live since the band’s final tour wrapped in 2022.

Still, his latest remarks suggest he hasn’t completely closed the book on performing. Collins hinted that he may have creative ideas still brewing and remains open to some form of musical work down the line, even if a traditional tour isn’t in the immediate picture.
