I Don’t Worry About Being Typecast: Prateik Chaudhary

Television actor Prateik Chaudhary, known for his roles in Paramavatar Shri Krishna, Sindoor Ki Keemat, and Tose Naina Milaike, says he prefers meaningful roles over worrying about being typecast. According to the actor, strong storytelling and compelling characters matter far more than labels.

Choosing Strong Stories Over Typecasting

To begin with, Prateik revealed that he carefully selects roles that offer depth and purpose. Moreover, he places great importance on meaningful content and working with the right team.

“I don’t focus too much on the fear of being typecast. For me, it’s important that the role is a strong protagonist, the content is clean and meaningful, and I’m working with a good team. Once those boxes are checked, I leave the rest to faith,” he shared.

Nearly 1,000 Episodes and a Natural Transition

Meanwhile, the actor spent a significant amount of time working on daily television. Notably, both Sindoor Ki Keemat and Tose Naina Milaike ran for nearly 500 episodes each, bringing his total to almost 1,000 episodes.

However, after a while, Prateik admitted that things started to feel repetitive. Fortunately, a new opportunity soon came his way.

“After Tose Naina Milaike, I got the opportunity to do the film Band Baaja Murder. I didn’t consciously try to break the pattern. It just happened naturally, and I got to explore something different,” he explained.

Constant Growth Through New Challenges

At the same time, Prateik enjoys challenging himself by taking on roles he hasn’t explored before. He believes that stepping out of his comfort zone helps him discover his true potential.

“It helps me grow with every project. For me, it’s not about taking risks; it’s about staying true to what I’m comfortable with. If I connect with the character, I’m happy to give it my all,” he said.

Staying Grounded and Focused

In addition, the actor believes in keeping things simple and honest. He also credits spirituality for helping him stay grounded throughout his journey.

“I try to stay grounded through prayer. I don’t overthink reinvention. If you’re honest with your work, growth happens naturally,” he added.

Saying No to Uncomfortable Roles

Furthermore, Prateik shared that he does not hesitate to turn down projects that do not align with his beliefs or comfort level.

“I wasn’t worried about being typecast, but I wasn’t comfortable with certain characters or scenes. Comfort and conviction in what I’m doing are very important to me,” he said.

Balancing Audience Expectations and Creative Satisfaction

Finally, the actor expressed gratitude for the opportunities he has received so far. He believes his journey has allowed him to strike a balance between audience expectations and creative fulfillment.

“I believe the universe and God have guided me toward roles that audiences can genuinely connect with. The love and respect I receive from them mean everything to me. As long as I stay honest to my choices, I’ll continue to find the right balance,” Prateik concluded.
