SATYAMEVA JAYATE – Get ready for a 80’s Masala Style Action film this Independence Day Weekend with Muscle Man – John Abraham along with Manoj Bajpayee in “SATYAMEVA JAYATE”. Directed by Milap Zaveri, the story is of the vendetta theme, where it is up to the common man that sees atrocities, corruption, and bad cops doing the wrong thing, and decides to take the law into his own hands. But this time its John Abraham with his punches, and lighting up bad officers to ashes one by one.
At times you do feel like your watching 3 “Big B Bachchan” films all wrapped into one. You could say it “Shahenshah” – (Minus the costume) – meets “Deewaar”, and a bit of “Shakti”. It is two brothers on the opposite sides of the law once again, but they share the same goal, which is justice should be served, and also to clear their fathers name.
For this generation the audience will lap it up, because of such legendary themes that have been reintroduced. And for some it will feel like old wine packaged in a new bottle, with some good dialogues and action. The film gets 2 and a half stars. Courtesy Awesome TV & BEING FILMY.
