Battleground is now streaming for free on Amazon MX Player
Mumbai, India – April 22, 2025 – Amazon MX Player, Amazon’s free streaming platform, levels up the fitness reality genre with its latest launch: Battleground. This high-energy show combines physical strength with mental resilience, pushing contestants to their limits.
Star Mentors Take the Lead
The competition features four dynamic team leaders—Asim Riaz, Rajat Dalal, Rubina Dilaik, and Abhishek Malhan. Each mentor brings a unique approach to coaching, motivating their teams through intense challenges and emotional highs and lows.
Shikhar Dhawan Steps In as Super Mentor
At the core of the series is cricket legend Shikhar Dhawan, serving as the super mentor. Known for his calm under pressure, Dhawan offers more than fitness advice—he shares powerful stories from his career to inspire and guide the contestants.
“It’s not just about being physically fit—it’s about staying composed under pressure,” Dhawan emphasizes.
Lessons from the Cricket Field
Dhawan recalls a fiery moment with Shane Watson from his playing days:
“He hit a ball into my stomach and joked he joined the pain club. Later, I faked an injury while fielding. He didn’t like it—but I knew I’d gotten into his head. That’s the mental game I always loved.”
This psychological edge, he says, is just as important in the Battleground arena as it was on the cricket field.
A Watchful Mentor
While the team mentors lead from the front, Dhawan keeps a close eye from the sidelines.
“I observe everything—how they coach, what they teach, how they treat their players. My job is to support and uplift.”
