Shriya Pilgaonkar Advocates for Accessible Sanitation

Supporting greater sanitation and hygiene for everybody, Bollywood actress and OTT phenomenon Shriya Pilgaonkar matched Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.’ Shriya underlined during a recent event for the “Banega Swasth India” project that everyone should have a basic right available from sanitation, not a privilege.

“Hygiene and sanitation conversations are vital and shouldn’t only be for the rich. These problems need to be resolved at the grassroots level with doable answers, Shriya said. She underlined how the national effort has helped public sanitation—especially for women—to observe developments. “Women are today actively demanding better access to public toilets, and there is more awareness across the country,” she said.

Shriya also emphasized in her lecture the dignity and safety of sanitation workers. “We must ensure that sanitation workers have access to the facilities necessary for their safety and take the right precautions,” she stated, therefore supporting stronger protection for these vital workers.

Renowned for her recent OTT hits “The Broken News 2” and “Taaza Khabar 2,” Shriya Pilgaonkar used her platform to highlight the importance of ongoing efforts toward clean public spaces and respect for the essential contributions of sanitation workers. Her comments capture PM Modi’s vision for a better, healthier India at its essence.
