Survivor 49 was full of chaos, with blindsides, betrayals, and the medical evacuation of contestant Jake Latimer because he was bitten by a poisonous snake. Sophi Balerdi won a very important final immunity challenge that forced her allies Rizo and Savannah to fight to make fire. Savannah, however, made it to the end. Rizo Velovic and Kristina were two of the best players of the season, which led to the first all-female final three since 2014.
The jury at Final Tribal asked Savannah, Sophi, and Sage a lot of questions about their social, strategic, and physical games. Savannah won with five votes because she did well in all areas. Sophi came in second and Sage came in third. Fans loved the nail-biting ending after a merge with alliances that kept changing.
