The huge 17-person merge and the creepy Blood Moon challenge in Survivor 50 are the craziest twists yet, and they led to three shocking non-jury eliminations.
A mysterious boat says “Drop your buffs,” starting the biggest merge in Survivor history, with 17 castaways joining the Manulevu tribe. Ozzy Lusth gets a fake “idol” that sends him and Rizo Velovic to Exile Island, where they are safe from the chaos that is about to happen. The last 15 players will take on the Blood Moon endurance challenge. They will be split into Orange, Purple, and Teal groups at random, and they will be competing for immunity and Applebee’s prizes.
In a classic endurance standoff, teams face off against each other, but host Jeff Probst drops a bombshell: three losers are snuffed out without joining the jury. Stephenie wins immunity for Orange, Dee for Teal, and Christian for Purple. This means that their groups will get to go on the Sanctuary trip. Old grudges and redemption arcs from past seasons make alliances hard to keep.
| Team Color | Immunity Winner | Key Strategy Moments |
|---|---|---|
| Orange | Stephenie | Chrissy pitches flipping on Kamilla; Tiffany and Jonathan align. |
| Purple | Christian | Aubry’s trio targets Genevieve despite her Shot in the Dark play. |
| Teal | Dee | Colby, injured and voteless, bonds emotionally with Coach and Cirie. |
After tense talks about how the merge would work, Orange votes Kamilla out 3-2. Genevieve goes home with a 4-0 loss to Purple. Her Shot in the Dark doesn’t work, and she gives her jacket to Aubry. Teal unanimously kicks Colby out, and Colby leaves with a heartfelt goodbye, telling everyone to “find the joy.”
