Tom Hardy appears to have patched things up with the producers of ‘MobLand’ following weeks of behind-the-scenes turmoil that had fans wondering whether the actor would stick around. After reports emerged of heated clashes with the creative team, Hardy and the producers have reportedly resolved their differences—and industry sources say he’s expected to return if the hit Paramount+ crime drama gets greenlit for a third season.
Tom Hardy has reportedly resolved his differences with MobLand producers after weeks of behind-the-scenes drama, increasing the chances of his return for a potential Season 3 on Paramount+.
The peace was brokered through a series of meetings where Hardy sat down with key figures including executive producer David Glasser, showrunner Jez Butterworth, and director Guy Ritchie in London to work through the tensions that had plagued production.
The drama started during Season 2 filming, when Hardy reportedly showed up late to set, spent excessive time in his trailer, and frequently pushed back on script pages. Those issues apparently frustrated producers enough to raise questions about his long-term involvement with the show. However, sources were quick to note that Hardy was never officially fired—discussions about his future simply remained fluid as the production team assessed the situation.
Things started looking up when co-star Helen Mirren publicly defended Hardy, dismissing claims that he was difficult to work with. Her endorsement seemed to shift the mood and helped pave the way for serious reconciliation talks.
With Season 2 already wrapped and both sides now on speaking terms again, Hardy—who plays the show’s central character, fixer Harry Da Souza—looks poised to continue in the role. While Paramount+ hasn’t officially announced Season 3 yet, the series’ strong viewership numbers make a renewal seem likely.
