Parineeta Celebrates 20 Years with a Star-Studded Reunion
Can you believe it’s been 20 years? The Parineeta team got together for a special screening to celebrate the film’s anniversary, and it was quite the event! Vidya Balan, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the evergreen Rekha, Shantanu Moitra, Swanand Kirkire, Dia Mirza, and the amazing singer Shreya Ghoshal all showed up to mark the occasion.
Shreya Ghoshal’s Shout-Out to Vidya
Shreya, who lent her voice to four unforgettable songs in the movie, couldn’t help but rave about Vidya’s performance. She said something really sweet: “Seriously, nobody lip-syncs like Vidya Balan. She’s so good, you’d think it’s her actual voice coming out! When you watch her on screen, it really feels like Vidya herself is singing, not me.”
Celebrating Vidya’s Incredible Journey
The evening wasn’t just about Parineeta; it was also a celebration of Vidya Balan’s incredible 20 years in the movie industry. From her debut in Parineeta to iconic roles in films like Kahaani, The Dirty Picture, and Tumhari Sulu, she’s really changed the game for female-led stories with her powerful performances.
Parineeta: Where it All Began
Back in 2005, Parineeta wasn’t just another movie; it was Vidya’s unforgettable debut. Even now, people remember the film for its beautiful music, the amazing performances, and for introducing a leading lady who brought a whole new vibe to Indian cinema. It’s a classic for a reason!
