Ben Stiller Slams Focker Sequels Amid New Meet the Parents Buzz

Ben Stiller has openly said that he didn’t like every movie in the Meet the Parents series, which has gotten people talking about the new sequel.

While promoting Focker In-Law at CinemaCon, Ben Stiller answered a fan on X and made it clear that people don’t have to watch all of the previous movies. He liked the first Meet the Parents (2000) and its 2004 sequel, Meet the Fockers, but he didn’t like Little Fockers (2010) as much.

The series, which made more than $1.13 billion around the world, starred Stiller as Greg Focker, who was always getting into trouble, and Robert De Niro as Jack Byrnes, who was very serious. Meet the Fockers added Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand as crazy in-laws.

Focker In-Law, which comes out on November 25, 2026, brings Stiller and De Niro back together. Ariana Grande joins the cast as a new character who has to take Byrnes’ famous lie detector test.

Filming is going on, and Focker is now the one who checks out new people, 15 years after Little Fockers. Stiller’s comments show that people are tired of the franchise, but they also make people more excited for this return.
