Mickey Lee died on Christmas Eve, December 25, 2025, at the age of 35 after having several heart attacks caused by complications from the flu. Her family confirmed the news with an emotional Instagram post in which they talked about her “transition” and praised her genuine spirit that won over fans during the CBS reality show. Earlier that week, she was in the ICU in critical but stable condition, and a GoFundMe page raised more than $32,500 for her medical bills.
Lee was an event curator from Jacksonville, Florida, who lived in Atlanta, Georgia, and was on Big Brother season 27, which aired in the summer of 2025. She was kicked out on Day 59 of Week 8. She became known for her bright energy, strength, and bold strategy that won over housemates and viewers across the country. Rachel Reilly and other alumni sent their condolences and called her a “amazing soul” who brought light to everyone.
The family’s statement asked for privacy during their time of mourning and talked about how Lee brought joy to others and made real connections on and off screen. Fans prayed and showed their support on social media, and host Julie Chen Moonves paid tribute, saying they would meet again “on the other side.” We will share details about the memorial later as the community mourns this sudden loss.
