Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have finally put their legal dispute to rest. The two settled their long-running case over the 2024 film It Ends With Us in May 2026, but the drama appears far from over for their Hollywood careers.

The conflict began in December 2024 when Lively accused Baldoni of harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign during production. He denied the allegations. A judge ultimately dismissed most of her claims in April 2026, and the pair agreed to settle rather than proceed to trial. The terms remain confidential.

Lively Pushes Forward, But Reputation Takes a Hit

Despite the legal ordeal, Lively has landed new work. She’s set to star in and produce the action rom-com The Survival List at Lionsgate, with The Making Of also in development. She even made an appearance at the 2026 Met Gala following the settlement, a calculated move to signal her comeback.

Still, industry insiders aren’t convinced. Many claim her reputation has taken a severe hit, with studios reportedly hesitant to work with her after the dismissal of her claims. The question now is whether her new projects can help rehabilitate her image.

Baldoni’s Production Career Continues, Acting Role Uncertain

Baldoni, meanwhile, continues his work behind the camera. He’s producing several projects slated for 2025-2026, including The Senior, Code 3, Eleanor the Great, and A Nice Indian Boy. However, no new acting or directing opportunities have materialized since It Ends With Us.

Reports had predicted a career “nosedive” for Baldoni, citing legal risks and lost opportunities. The settlement may provide some stability, but financial losses from dropped projects remain.
