Carly Rae Jepsen Announces Ambitious 24-Track Double Album ‘Day and Night’

Carly Rae Jepsen is kicking off a new chapter. The Canadian pop star announced Tuesday that she’s dropping a double album called Day and Night, a sprawling 24-track project hitting shelves Sept. 18 through Interscope Records.

The record splits into two halves, with 12 songs making up the “Day” side and another dozen exploring “Night.” The daytime tracks embrace live instrumentation and psychedelic pop vibes straight out of the 1970s, while the nighttime portion pivots to sleek, synth-driven dance-pop.

Jepsen has been keeping fans guessing for weeks with cryptic Instagram posts—mysterious objects, locations, and timestamps scattered across her feed. Now we know what she was building toward: a new album cycle built around time, duality, and those hazy moments between light and dark.

The first single, “On Wires,” arrives June 26. Jepsen worked with her trusted crew on the new material, including Tavish Crowe, Kyle Shearer, Nate Cyphert, and producer Cole M.G.N.

Day and Night marks Jepsen’s first full-length since 2023’s The Loveliest Time. The singer has spent the past few years deepening her connection with a fiercely loyal fanbase, and this project seems poised to be her biggest creative statement yet.

She’s also got plans to perform at New York’s All Things Go Festival in September—her first live show of 2026.
