Mumbai Prepares for a Laugh Riot
Mumbai, get ready! Theatre stalwarts Paritosh Painter and Bharat Dabholkar return with Carry On Spying — a sidesplitting English comedy full of chaos, confusion, and quick-witted humor.
The play will be staged on October 10, 2025 (8 PM) at St. Andrews Auditorium, Bandra. It will also be on October 11, 2025 (7:30 PM) at Balgandharva Auditorium, Bandra.
A Spy Comedy with a Desi Twist
Against the backdrop of a fictional Asian nation “behind the Iron Curtain,” the tale unfolds within the Indian Embassy. It’s left in the care of Pyare Mohan Dixit, the bumbling son of the ambassador.
When a Gujarati family of tourists inadvertently enters a high-security missile area, they’re mistaken for spies. Consequently, all hell breaks loose! Look for intense misunderstandings, botched spy missions, and LOL lunacy.
A Stratospheric Cast of Comedy Legends
The cast includes Ananth Mahadevan, Tannaz Irani, Suresh Menon, Vikas Patil, Charmy Kelaiya, Mohan Azad, Dr. Deepa Bhajekar, and Bharat Dabholkar himself.
Their impeccable sense of timing and lively performances bring Dabholkar’s trademark humour to the forefront.
Mastered by Witty Professionals
Directed and written by Bharat Dabholkar. It’s produced by Sejal Painter and presented by Paritosh Painter. Carry On Spying guarantees non-stop laughter throughout.
With a string of blockbuster plays that marry satire and sophistication, this talented team terms it “a laugh-a-minute rollercoaster celebrating India’s unbeatable sense of humour.”
Indian Humour in Its Finest Form
With clever one-liners, slapstick comedy, and vibrant dance numbers, Carry On Spying rekindles the magic of English farce. Notably, it does so with a dynamic Indian flavor.
It’s clever, absurd, and packed full of surprises — the largest English comedy this year you won’t want to miss!
