Collien Fernandes, Christian Ulmen’s ex-wife and a TV host, has accused him of making fake profiles and spreading deepfake pornographic content aimed at her for years. Fernandes filed criminal charges against Ulmen in Spain, where the couple lived before their divorce in 2024, after hearing about the accusations of “virtual rape,” impersonation, and online harassment.

Fernandes had to deal with fake social media profiles, deepfake porn, and requests for sexual harassment for years, at first blaming them on trolls who were not known to her. Ulmen is said to have confessed to her on Christmas Day 2024 in Hamburg, saying he was to blame and that he was afraid of going to jail. Investigations showed that he used AI to imitate her voice during phone sex with hundreds of men, including professionals.

Despite the presumption of innocence, Ulmen’s production company, Pyjama Pictures, said they were shocked and wanted him to give up his shares. They also said they wouldn’t work with him on any new projects. The 50-year-old actor, who is known for playing edgy roles, has not answered questions from media outlets like Der Spiegel.

The case, which is still going on in Spain, shows how weak the laws are against digital violence and abuse that is created by AI. Fernandes is calling for changes to these laws.
