Elon Musk has started Grokipedia, a new AI-powered knowledge platform. It will go up against Wikipedia directly. Grokipedia, which was made under his AI brand X AI, wants to change the way people find, share, and check information online.
The platform will use Grok, Musk’s advanced chatbot, to curate and update entries. It will perform these tasks with real-time data from X (formerly Twitter). This method makes Grokipedia a more dynamic alternative. Traditional encyclopedias, by contrast, depend on a lot of manual editing and human moderation.
Musk says that Grokipedia’s main strength is its ability to combine current events. It can put breaking news in context and keep getting better through AI learning. At first, only verified X users will be able to use the service. More people will be able to use it later.
Musk wants to create a digital encyclopedia that is open, up-to-date, and interactive. He intends to do this by combining social media intelligence with artificial knowledge curation. Experts in technology say this move could change user-generated content. It may also challenge Wikipedia’s position as the leader in the open-knowledge field.
