Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s 2-Run Blast Powers Blue Jays to 6-2 Win Over Dodgers, Tying 2025 World Series at 2-2

On Tuesday, the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-2 at Dodger Stadium. This win tied the 2025 MLB World Series at two games each. It came after a disappointing Game 3 loss. In the third inning, first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a huge two-run home run off of Dodgers’ two-way star Shohei Ohtani. This hit gave the Blue Jays a 2-1 lead. It was Guerrero Jr.’s seventh home run of the playoffs.

John Schneider, the manager of the Blue Jays, praised the swing, calling it a “huge swing”. It gave the team energy after Ohtani’s great performance in the last game. Guerrero Jr. was sure that his team would bounce back. He stressed the importance of taking each game and pitch one at a time.

Shohei Ohtani made his first start in the World Series on the mound. He pitched for more than six innings, struck out six batters, and gave up four runs. But Ohtani was given the loss because the Blue Jays scored four runs in the seventh inning. This happened after he left the game.

Shane Bieber, a pitcher for Toronto, won the game by only giving up one run in five and a third innings. Ernie Clement, the Blue Jays’ third baseman, has a ten-game postseason hitting streak. He showed how tough and determined the team is.

Game 5 of the World Series will be played on Wednesday at Dodger Stadium. The two teams will face off again, with Trey Yesavage starting for Toronto and Blake Snell starting for Los Angeles. In the past, the team that won Game 4 has gone on to win the championship 72% of the time. This sets up a very exciting Game 5.
