The father-son duo will play father and son on screen. Meanwhile, AMC has ordered six episodes for the first season.
Production is scheduled to begin in Los Angeles in early 2027. The series will premiere on AMC and AMC+ later that year.

In the half-hour comedy, Charlie Sheen plays Jack Chambers. He is a father of two grown daughters who has spent much of his life taking shortcuts.
However, his family soon forces him to rethink his choices. Things take an unexpected turn when his younger daughter, Sam, introduces her new boyfriend.
The boyfriend is not what Jack expected. He is an age-appropriate man who has moved from investment banking to a new life as a van-lifeguru.
That revelation becomes a major turning point for Jack. As a result, he begins questioning his role as a father.
More importantly, Jack must decide whether he is finally ready to put his daughters first.
Martin Sheen will play Jack’s father. His character has apparently played an important role in helping raise Jack’s daughters.
Charlie Sheen Returns to Television
For Charlie Sheen, Happy Jack marks another major television comeback. The actor became a household name through sitcoms, particularly Two and a Half Men.
However, his new character is expected to be quite different from Charlie Harper. Instead of focusing on a womanizing bachelor, the new series explores fatherhood, family and personal growth.

AMC Studios is producing the series alongside 20th Television.

Patterson and Ross will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Charlie Sheen is also attached as an executive producer.

AMC is also looking beyond the U.S. market with the new comedy.
The network plans to present Happy Jack at MIPCOM in October. The move signals AMC’s interest in introducing the series to international buyers.

An exact premiere date has not yet been announced.
