Isabelle Huppert has been in seven competition films at the Berlin International Film Festival over the past 50 years. In 2022, she won the Honorary Golden Bear for lifetime achievement. She also had premieres of Things to Come and About Joan. She still has a strong connection to the festival in 2026.

She’s also in the competition film “A Traveler’s Needs” by Hong Sang-soo, which is her third film with the director. These roles show how brave she is in choosing arthouse horror and drama.

Huppert says that German stage directors helped her improve her skills when she went to Berlinale. 8 Women won a Silver Bear in the past. She keeps showing movies like À propos de Joan at gala events.
