FBI Ups Nancy Guthrie Kidnap Reward to $100K with Suspect Details
Nancy Guthrie

The FBI has raised the reward for information that leads to the arrest of Nancy Guthrie’s kidnappers or the discovery of her location from $50,000 to $100,000. This news comes as forensic analysis of doorbell footage from her Tucson, Arizona home reveals important information about the suspect. Nancy, Savannah Guthrie’s mother and co-anchor on the TODAY show, was last seen on January 31, 2026. The next day, she was reported missing.

Authorities say the suspect is a man who is 5’9″ to 5’10” tall and has a normal build. A black-and-white doorbell video caught him wearing a jacket, ski mask, gloves, and carrying a gun and a unique black 25-liter “Ozark Trail Hiker Pack” backpack. The video shows him at her home in the Catalina Foothills around the time of the kidnapping, which is thought to have happened against her will in the early hours of February 1.

Since the person went missing, more than 13,000 tips from the public have come in, and each one has been checked for accuracy. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department sees the home as a crime scene because there are signs of foul play and Nancy can’t move around very well, so she needs medication every day. False leads, such as fake ransom texts from California, have been proven wrong, but the search is getting more intense as it enters its second week.
